Today was the beginning of some serious Christmas FUN around here. We departed on our magic carpet for Mexico and learned a bit about how they celebrate Christmas in the country just below us.
We had such fun making pinata's and stuffing them with candy - I'm guessing the children will be ready soon to start busting them open - ENJOY!
We also:
~worked on the formation of letter Hh.
~worked hard during centers (today the girls were girls = barbies and marriage, and the boys were boys = crash up cars and blocks). So cute to watch!
~enjoyed rhyming with Rudolph - a fun rhyming activity they will each get to bring home soon.
~read Counting Christmas by Kathryn Katz
~worked hard on our Christmas counting book.
~and of course... loved making pinatas and learning a little about our world.
Looking Forward:
Cole's Birthday Celebration is Thursday.
Show n Tell also Thurs.
** A note about next week**
Will you please send your children in clothes that DON'T matter next week - your washer will thank me for the warning (that's sounds like we'll be rolling in mud - not that bad, but lots of sticky, painty activities). Thanks!
December 20 - Our Christmas Party
December 22 - no school (Winter Break)
